The Journey Continues

Northgrove Heritage Handcrafts set down roots in the rolling hills of central Ontario in the summer of 2024. Retirement had opened a window of opportunity to explore this new venture.

As a child, the art of knitting and crocheting was passed down from my mother, aunts and grandmothers. Handcrafts were traditional skills that my ancestors practised to create clothing (e.g., socks, hats, mittens, sweaters) and household items, such as dishcloths, table runners and blankets. It had been several years since I had crocheted or had a knitting project in the works, but just like riding a bicycle, when I picked up the needles again, it all came back to me.

The Grove family legacy continues.

Creating each Northgrove item is a labour of love. My hope is that you enjoy these uniquely-crafted pieces as much as I have loved forming them.
